We manufacture the instruments in the Gilis freres range entirely in Belgium :
-We are demanding in the choice of wood cutting and density to meet the acoustic constraints that allow for a rich and powerful sound
-We take the same care as any professional violin maker when making the arches, adjusting the thickness, varnishing, and adjusting the sound
-A special attention is given to the adjustment of the resonance frequencies of the soundboard, bassbar and back
-We use oil varnish and give it the look of old master instruments with texture and patina
-The set-up is done as on any high-quality instrument
-We make these instruments with several luthiers and apprentices in order to optimize the working time and cost in order to make these quality instruments more affordable
